Our Beliefs

Central Baptist Church is an autonomous church in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, and the Bluebonnet Baptist Association.

We affirm The Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as an accurate summary of the clear teaching of Scripture.

Pastoral Team

Pastors are God-called men recognized and ordained by the church to oversee and care for its people and ministries through preaching and teaching, prayer, and spiritual oversight.

BRAD MILLS

Senior Pastor

Brad has served as senior pastor of Central Baptist Church since June 1, 2019. Before he came to Central, he served at churches in Texas and Alabama. He is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2015), the University of South Alabama (B.S., Management, 2011) and a student in the Doctor of Ministry program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married his high school sweetheart, Erin, in 2011 and they have two kids who are active in sports.

ERIC BAUER

Pastor

Eric has served as CBC’s Worship leader since 2023. His primary responsibilities include leading worship for Sunday services and overseeing the discipleship ministry. He joined the pastoral team in June 2025.

Eric married his high school sweetheart, Kim in 2002 and they have three wonderful children. He’s a USAF Security Forces veteran and current Texas Peace Officer.

Klinton Goerdel

Pastor

Klinton has served at CBC in a variety of roles since he and his family joined the church in 2019. He teaches a Sunday morning Bible study for men at 9:30 and leads the church in its ministry of visitation and care. He joined the pastoral team in June 2025.

Klinton was born and raised in Luling and graduated from Luling High School and Texas A&M. He and Stephanie have two sons and a daughter.

Deacons at Central Baptist Church are ordained servants of the church who seek to encourage and support the church body through a ministry of service.

Sr. Pastor's Administrative Assistant

Paige has served as Pastor Brad's Administrative Assistant since 2024. She helps keep the office running smoothly and works behind the scenes to make sure the church's administrative and financial processes are handled.

Amy Clements

Kids Ministry Director

Amy serves CBC as our kids ministry director by planning and coordinating week-to-week ministry for kids. Her desire is to help our church family "train hearts that don't depart" and build families that pass on the faith. She's been serving in her role since 2025.
